The Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) comprises of the 350 bed Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital located in the densely populated region of Manzini, and the twenty (20) Nazarene Community Health Clinics, operating in the four regions of Eswatini serving an aggregate population of 350 000 for RFM Hospital and 250 000 for all the clinics. This makes ENHI a major player in the Health Sector in Eswatini and ENHI is a mission organization that also leads in patient volumes in Eswatini with a coverage of 40-50% of the country’s population.

RFM Hospital  RFM is a 350-bed regional referral and teaching hospital situated in Manzini, the hub of Eswatini. It occupies approximately 7,000 square meters in clinical buildings and 2,300 square meters in support buildings.

It was founded in 1926 by the Church of the Nazarene as an emergency intervention for health problems that were encountered at the time. It has expanded over the years and now serves as a referral hospital for the Manzini region. Given that Manzini city and the surrounding area is the most populous in Eswatini, the role of the hospital plays in providing health care services is crucial. The hospital provides services to around 500 patients in the outpatient department daily. In addition, clients have access to HIV/AIDS mitigation programs including; PMTCT (Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission), VCT (Voluntary Counseling and Testing), ART (Anti-Retroviral Therapy and a supplementary food program sponsored by WFP (World Food Program). RFM has the highest number of hospital deliveries in the country, with approximately one baby born every hour. It is noteworthy that the King of Eswatini, King Mswati III, was also born at the hospital.
