The Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) traces its roots to the pioneering missionaries who came to Eswatini with a holistic vision for transforming lives. Guided by a threefold mission of providing healthcare, sharing the Gospel and empowering communities through education, these missionaries laid the foundation for what would become one of the nation’s most trusted healthcare networks.
What began as small mission clinics serving remote communities has grown into a century-long legacy of compassionate, faith-inspired healthcare. The first clinics were established in Pigg’s Peak in 1933, Siteki in 1936 and Endzingeni in 1940, bringing essential medical services to populations that had limited access to healthcare.
These early facilities were more than clinics – they were centers of hope, healing, and community development. They provided life-saving care, promoted health education and demonstrated the love of Christ through service. Their impact extended beyond treating illness, helping to build healthier and stronger communities across the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Over the decades, this vision has continued to expand. From the three pioneering clinics established by the early missionaries, ENHI has grown into a network of 20 clinics strategically located across the country, extending quality healthcare services to thousands of individuals and families each year. This growth reflects ENHI’s unwavering commitment to increasing access to healthcare and meeting the evolving needs of communities throughout Eswatini.

Today, ENHI continues to build upon this remarkable heritage. While healthcare has evolved through modern technologies, advanced treatments and innovative service delivery, our commitment remains unchanged: providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare that treats the whole person – body, mind and spirit.
From humble beginnings to a nationally respected healthcare institution, ENHI remains dedicated to transforming lives, strengthening communities, and carrying forward a legacy of healing, hope and service that has touched generations of emaSwati for over a century.
