Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of:      

PHARMACIST

The suitably qualified candidate will report to the Principal Pharmacist. Below, please find the main responsibilities, minimum qualifications, experience and personal attributes needed for application eligibility.

Main Purpose of the Job:

· Provide pharmaceutical services within the hospital · Ensure safe and effective medication management and compliance with pharmacy legislation · Maintain accurate pharmacy stock and patient records · Monitor and reduce medication errors and hospital-acquired infections · Attend to patient complaints and provide specialised care for inpatients and outpatients · Participate in quality improvement, infection control, and drug therapeutic programmes · Assist in the development and review of policies, guidelines, and SOPs · Prepare reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Minimum Education /Qualifications: 

• Degree in Pharmacy
• Registration with the Eswatini Medical and Dental Council

 

Required Minimum Work Experience/Exposure:

• 5-years experience in the similar field

 

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of various drug classes, indications and therapeutic uses to provide evidence-based recommendations for patient treatment plans.
